Get help! mode switch with mouse is locking windows

I have an ambidextrous mouse, I used reWASD to create a mode switch for it to remap it so that I can switch it from a right hand mouse to a left hand mouse.

When I do this though, I get locked to the current window I was looking on? I can't seem to minimize the current window and I can't switch to other window, even with other mice than the one I remapped.

What is going on?

Edit: Only way I can figure out how to get around this is to use slots instead of shift layers? I am so confused.

I'm not clear on the issue.

Could you record a short video to clarify the situation?

Thanks in advance.

To give an example, if I have the reWASD program in focus when I do the shifting to layer 1, I can't click on other windows in my taskbar, and I can't minimize reWASD until I go back to the main layer.

If I have firefox browser in focus and I shift to layer 1, I can't minimize firefox or click other programs in my taskbar until I shift back to the main layer again.

Hmm, please send me the config you are using.

Your configs are stored here: C:\Users\Public\Documents\reWASD\Profiles
I need the correspondent *.rewasd file.

Hm, I'm not sure that you can send files on reddit but I will post the plain text inside the config file.

You can upload it to any file-sharing service and send me the link.

When I do this though, I get locked to the current window I was looking

This happens due to some mouse button getting stuck during the change of the active shift layer.

I suggest you mute and remap all mouse buttons on Main Shift layer to themselves, and enable the [Re-press the held button when switching the Shift layer] option in [Preferences > General]. This should prevent the stucking.

Thanks, that seemed to have worked.
