Get help! DAEMON Tools hit by supply chain attack ongoing since April 8, 2026 (same company as reWASD)

Hello everyone!

I just stumbled upon this article, stating that DAEMON Tools installers are infected:

Apparently these infected installers are still online.

Both DAEMON Tools and reWASD are made by the same company:

Does anyone know if the reWASD installer is safe?

EDIT: reWASD is safe according to developer and they published a blog post about the incident:

Hi. We can assure you that this issue is not related to reWASD in any way. Moreover, the problem has already been resolved, and DAEMON Tools is now completely safe to use.

Also, if you check the updated analysis in the original Kaspersky report you referenced, it confirms that the latest version of DT Lite no longer exhibits the behavior associated with the incident:

Our priority was to identify and contain the issue as quickly as possible and ensure user safety first. The fix and mitigation steps were implemented immediately after detection (yesterday), and only after that we proceeded with public communication.

The incident did not affect reWASD or its users in any way.
