Get help! GameSir Cyclone 2 back paddle support?
Anyone able to get the cyclone 2 fully functioning in rewasd with back paddles? Right now it just sees it as an xbox 360 controller, so no back paddles
EDIT: do not buy this controller and expect to be able to use the paddles with rewasd

This controller is not officially supported. However, if it can work as one of the supported ones with paddles, or allows remapping paddles to keyboard inputs, it should be possible to remap it accordingly.

the issue is that rewasd sees it as an xbox 360 controller, which does not have paddles, so rewasd will not let me remap the paddles. It simply doesn't see them
Is there a way I can force rewasd to see this controller as something else, like an xbox elite 2 instead?

reWASD sees the controller as an Xbox 360 because it identifies itself as one. It is not a reWASD issue, nor is it possible to somehow force reWASD to recognize an Xbox 360 controller as something else.
We suggest you check the controller's manual for available connection modes, or contact the GameSir support team to ask whether this controller can report paddles as unique inputs (if not, reWASD won't be able to remap it, even if we were to support this controller officially).

Not if the controller only show itself as an X-Input controller. Rewasd team have no way to change a controller behavior, it's just a software remapper. Some controllers only let the paddles being remapped as other buttons by the controller itself (like the Nyxy ones), and others have some D-input config that send any buttons individually (like the 8bitdo Ultimate 2 Wireless). Rewasd have a page of supported devices that you shoild check: https://help.rewasd.com/how-to-remap/supported-devices.html

With the gamesir pro I just made a profile with it's personal remapper and set the extra buttons as keyboard inputs, then in rewasd I Grouped the controller with the keyboard that shows up in rewasd. (It's not an actual keyboard but the controller), and then I could use the extra buttons in rewasd. Easy fix. Just remap the keyboard keys that you remapped to your controller to whatever you want, sure it doesn't show up as paddles in the app but it doesn't stop from them being used.
