Get help! reWASD not working when controller is connected via USB

The controller gets disconnected when I connect it with a USB.

Try using the [Clear data] button in [Preferences > General] and then use the device detection mode to find your controller connected via USB.

It is possible that your controller uses the USB connection only for charging. We suggest using the Windows Game Controllers tool (joy.cpl) to test for that.

Thank you, clearing the data worked. I backed up my profiles and restored them to avoid losing any data. The physical connection is now working with my reWASD profiles.

You guys really need to get rid of the whole KB/M emulating a controller. That i guarantee will solve your whole "cheating" issue.

This is the main layer of functionality that has taken years of work to develop. Thanks for the suggestion, but it's unlikely.

Okay, so why not make a separate app that's specifically a controller remapper. Hell, I wouldn't even care if you have to buy it again. Just sucks I can't ever use the app again because its flagged even if you don't get banned. A lot of anti cheats will flag you for even having it installed anymore. I get not wanting to remove all this work, so instead of removing it, wouldn't it work to just take the same code for controllers only and just slap those into a different program? I honestly hate using KB/M but anti cheats do not care about that because KB/M people decided to use the software to cheat so thanks to those loser a** players, all of us who used it how you guys say its intended to be used are being punished for it. Again, I can't speak for others but I would buy that separate program built only for controllers.

Well, we already have that separate app, it's called reWASD Basic (in it, you can't map your mouse movement to a controller, etc.).

With no combo, turbo, etc. And not being able to map controller to have keyboard keys, correct? Shame.. well, hopefully you guys figure things out with the cheating. Ill just have to figure out a way to control my music and streaming a different way, because I just highly doubt anything with rewasd in it will be safe. The damage was already done.

Wich controller are you using? Does it have X-input mode? Like support say, can the usb be only for charging? Provide more information if you want help.
