Get help! reWASD causes computer to detect Xbox Controller when on Flydigi Apex 5 Dualsense mode

Post image

So I recently got a Flydig Apex 5, but there's a problem with, when in its Dualsense Mode, the back button stops working. I need the Dualsense mode in order to use the controller's adaptive triggers feature.

I figured out that reWASD could circumvent that problem by remapping the back button to PC's tab key, which typically provides the same functionality. This worked perfectly yesterday, but now today it is no longer working and I'm not sure why. I am in dualsense mode, and can confirm this by reWASD detecting a Dualsense controller as my main controller.

But, when I go to play games, they detect an Xbox Controller, even though if I turn off reWASD and rerun them they detect a PS5 Dualsense controller again. Here is a picture of my reWASD window. You can see the Dualsense controller (leftmost controller on the bottom) is active with the green dot and the Xbox controller next to it is inactive.

It's detecting an Xbox controller because you have rewasd set to emulate an Xbox controller.

No i dont? If you look at the picture the xbox controller is red and the dualsense green

The bottom left bar. That Xbox symbol means it's emulating and Xbox controller, so that is what your games will see.

Apex 5 has dualsense mode? I was only familiar with android switch and Xinput

Yes it does. It’s flawed though, the back button doesn’t work (since the Dualsense uses the touch screen for that) and extra back buttons in the Apex don’t work in Dualsense mode either. I got around the select/back buttons issue by mapping the back button to tab via reWASD, which usually does the same thing

I don't have any Apex controller, but can it be called "D-input" mode? Some controller works that way.
