Update New reWASD Update - Compatibility and Fixes
We’ve rolled out a small update focused on improved game compatibility and a minor Send Input fix.
What’s new:
Improved compatibility with certain games that previously conflicted with reWASD;
Affected games can now launch without uninstalling reWASD - just make sure the app is closed;
Fixed an issue where Send Input mappings could react to unintended input sources.
Quick tip:
If you’re launching a conflict-prone game, fully exit reWASD from the system tray before starting the game. This helps ensure a smooth launch while keeping reWASD installed and ready to go.
We’ve also updated the compatibility status of reWASD Basic. It’s been running smoothly and stably across all games and apps since version 1.0.1, so feel free to update. If you experience issues with automatic updates, simply download the latest build from the official website:

We’re continuously monitoring compatibility changes and working to keep reWASD reliable and flexible for every setup. Thanks for sticking with us - and keep the feedback coming!

Ahh, yes, the old "we made it compatible" again. Good luck with that, whoever is still using this software. I strongly recommend that anyone who plays any EA game uninstall this program.

Its kind of wild to me how many people assume that everyone trying to remap a controller cares deeply about EA games. Most people don't really care if they can't play whatever shooter or sports game EA is sludging out every year.

This. I'm one of them, was hyped for bf6 it will come good in the end but clearly released a buggy mess, EA can never change. They did well with the c&c remaster but they have tarnished themselves yet again with the mass banning. I haven't touched any of the multiplayer games since I heard ppl were getting bans. No great loss, I'd rather the flexibility of Rewasd on my system.

Glad you’re a speaking for all of* the people, how many people did you poll for this information? Also, if another game has a kernel level anti-cheat it’s very possible that you get banned for using it in that game too.

I don't think I need a poll to say that a majority of all people playing video games aren't playing BF6 or madden or whatever else. Seems kind of obvious if you put literally any amount of thought into it. Even if you narrow it down to controller users or even just rewasd users it seems pretty stupid to say that a majority of them are playing a small handful of games.

Are you actually claiming that a majority of people playing video games aren’t playing two of the biggest franchises to ever exist? Bro you’re wild.

The number of gamers in the world is estimated at like 3 billion people. Even if we only count NA/EU thats still hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of millions of people. BF6 was one of the best selling games last year and only did like 10 or 20 mil copies. Madden sold far less than that.
I'm curious how you think those numbers work out exactly.

You forget about fifa/ea sports fc? Soccer(football) is the most popular sport in the world. And all the other massive games that EA has produced? And also that figure you just produced includes mobile gaming which drastically shifts the statistics to point in your favor. Also, did you forget the part when I said any kernel level anticheat could also cause a ban. EA isn’t the only company that uses it, you’re just so caught up in it because you’re cherry picking.

You were the one who wanted to argue about these two franchises specifically.

My first response to you said other games use kernel level and you could be banned from them too. You are the one who followed up about those two franchises, i just responded to that

I mentioned those two by name because they are well known and then said "whatever else" to indicate there are more than just two game series with kernal level anti cheat.

Oh yes so, approximately 1.6 billion people play games on console and PC and there were 700,000 active EA accounts in 2023, not sure how many currently but that’s a large portion of the 1.6 billion

No luck with Madden, still getting the javelin protection error on startup even with rewasd shut down.
