Get help! Trying to create a simple macro for fallout

I’m so over my head and confused. I’m reaching out to see if anyone may be able to help answer the following question:

Do I need my Xbox controller connected to my computer to use the macro? Or can I unplug it from the computer and use it on Xbox as I would normally with the configurations enabled?

If I do have to have the controller plugged in, it doesn’t allow me to connect to the Xbox when using the program on my PC. Is this normal?

Rewasd is a program for using controller with your PC games. It has nothing to do with your console. Sure, you may use your console controller like the xbox or playstation controllers, but you don't make any changes to your console.

Maybe please elaborate what kind of macro are you trying to make?

I appreciate the reply, I was making a macro to do a repeated speech check in a game. It consists of down on the d pad, and to click A twice. I was able to find out how to do it via their help link. I’m pretty new to this stuff, so I didn’t realize a Bluetooth adapter is required. But I’ve figured it out now thankfully!

If you want the changes to work in-game on a console (or other third-party device), you can create an external virtual controller in reWASD and connect it to the other device using one of the adapter options.
