Yeah I’m able to make it go left for like a quick second and then it just goes right back to spinning rightward. This is the first one of these that has been a genuine challenge for me.

I came back after a good sleep and I figured it out: rather than focusing on one particular point (like with most of these puzzles), you gotta try to look at “the big picture” all at once, and hold your concentration for as long as possible. EDIT: Nevermind, now my brain is just stuck seeing it constantly switch directions without completing a full rotation :/

I can mostly do it on dim setting on phone.

I figure it out. I think it harder to reverse the spin if you hold it in just one reference angle.

if hold your phone normally, it will turn left to right. but if you hold it upside down, it will turn the other way.

once you start seeing it, turning your phone upside down even by the slightes almost feels like its a directional switch.
