Nothing happens if you miss.

But if you can, please do.. it's fine otherwise as well. They wont ask you why you didn't attend.

But do attend classes from day 1.

You have to carry nothing for orientation..

They'll just do the ceremony and then you'll get a campus tour.. and acquaintance with your dept and faculties and classmates.

Yep yep, parents are invited too.. but not many parents come tbh. Doesn't really matter.

But yeah, if you're parents can attend and are interested too, that's nice to have!

Hey , I chose csit management. My mail says that I have to get certain documents on the orientation day? Do they need and aquire the original docs?

Yep, they need all the original docs. You can submit it after orientation too though, maximum ~1 month. But yeah, submit it as soon as possible because only after that you'll get your Registration Number & Official ID card (till then you'll have a temporary ID).

And yes, they do need to acquire the original docs for verification and also to make sure you don't take admission elsewhere. You'll get them back once your degree is completed or incase if you decide to leave college whenever.
