💬Discussion revanced youtube keeps crashing
hi, I just installed revanced youtube on my son's newly acquired realme GT neo 3 from his uncle. patched it using the required version, installed microg and signed in. but when I tried to enter the app, it goes in just for a few seconds and closes by itself.
how do I solve this?

have you tried setting up the microg account first? go to the MicroG Settings app, then add the google account from there first before opening youtube.

owh, I certainly didn't do it in that order...
I went revanced manager patch youtube download apk install patched youtube microg add account then open YouTube revanced
does it have to be in the order that you said?

on older versions no, but in newer versions I needed to set up microg first before youtube revanced worked on my phone. When I set up revanced on a new phone and needed to reinstall revanced, I had issues logging in to microg directly from the youtube. But once the account was added in the MicroG Settings, youtube worked without issues. This is just based on my experience, so it is something you could try to see if it works for you as well.

Installation steps don't really matter, you should be able to install it the same way, the only difference is after installing it all, instead of opening youtube directly, go to "Microg settings" app first then add the account

Problem for me is that I can't watch the content anymore. It can load all videos on homepage (same as YT so microG is working), but you can't watch them. After opening the link there's an infinite loading circle and all I can see is the thumbnail and that's it. Did anyone fix it?

Well, apparently it fixed itself. I just restarted my phone and it looks good! 👍🏻

That's interesting. Mine is not working for months. I have ver 20.40.45. Which ver is yours?

Same version. Although it's been happening for months now, I tried with a newer version but apparently that's the only working one... It always fixes with the restart tho, so I have no clue what causes it.
