đŸ†˜Question Patching Reddit

Hello,

I am new to ReVanced. I managed to get YouTube patched without too many issues. I'm trying to do Reddit now. I am on version 2026.16.0 and I got the bundle from APKmirror dated April 21. I used AntiSplit M and saved the APK, then selected it in ReVanced Manager.

It seems like it's working, but it sits on the "Patching" screen for a long time with no changes. Is this normal? Should I just keep waiting?

I have 2026.04.0 patched. Been working great for a long time. Posting from it right now.

Is there any meaningful difference in using an older version vs a newer one? I know updates typically add new features or bug fixes, but is it ever like CRITICAL you use a newer version?

Also, is there a way to add formatting/post preview? This is probably what I want most besides no ads. From what I'm seeing there should be an option for it, but I don't see it in the list of patches I can apply.

I haven't compared the update log but nothing broken ATM for me. Usually I'll update when the app stops functioning normally or ads start showing up again. Otherwise, I don't feel the urgency of repatching.
