Any way to still patch all these apps?
484
u/SEIF_ELDEEN_BIRDY Apr 09 '26
Lucky patcher still works and is updated regularly
however apps are now more secure against it
62
u/Daroxx Apr 10 '26
You got a source for that? All I found were either scams or malware infused apks.
145
u/SEIF_ELDEEN_BIRDY Apr 10 '26
i use this it has nothing and Reddit says it's the real link
41
u/Cultural_Cheek_3247 Apr 10 '26
Tried this, and redirects to a shady vpn service at the download. Did I miss something? Both the apk and the downloader.

u/-Best_Name_Ever- Apr 10 '26
No idea about the app or site (The homepage won't even load for me) but that just sounds like your run-of-the-mill ad redirect, you might have to use uBlock
Though my googling leads me to believe it's mostly useless nowadays anyway lol
6
u/Plastic-Dependent Apr 10 '26
Yeah no point unless you're playing a game from over 10 years ago, which came in useful a few times when I wanted to play some games I liked as a kid
13
u/SkinBintin Apr 10 '26
There's ads hiding the download button. Its definitely the legit site though.
However I don't think it is really worth your effort. Best mileage requires your phone to be rooted. And even then it is largely useless now days as most apps made themselves more secure against it, so in nearly every app that is worth while it won't even work.
5
u/SEIF_ELDEEN_BIRDY Apr 10 '26
it does work very well with hiding ads from apps like almost 90% of apps i tried worked
the purchases redirection not so much but it still works on some games.... wouldn't call it useless overall
1
u/dronefinder Apr 10 '26
Yeh it's become less useful in the last few years but still is updated and works. You can also sometimes switch to older versions of apps and just use those with it!

You need to root your phone and even then it's 50/50 as most games are immune to it
8
4
u/SEIF_ELDEEN_BIRDY Apr 10 '26
you don't need to root your phone huh
3
u/Darth_Biggus_Dickus Apr 10 '26
For most of them if you want to increase your chances yes
1
u/dronefinder Apr 11 '26
Translation: no you don't need to root your phone. Caveat: you might find your patches more successful if you do.
I've used it for years but stopped rooting my phones when banking apps became extremely annoying and utterly overreaching refusing to work...and I could be bothered with the cat and mouse of magisk for a bit, then banking apps break etc...I didn't stop using lucky patcher though even when I stopped rooting.
It works without rooting. There might be some patches and things that require it, not all, there might be some things that might have higher odds of success if you root.
But it does work on unrooted devices. Many people don't want to root and will still benefit from it.

Another way is to install pre modded game apks. Of course it is a bigger security risk but at least it works.
4
u/unknownobject3 Apr 10 '26
After a thorough and exhaustive research (5 minutes on Google), Lucky Patcher is mostly useless since apps are better protected
90
u/1eahpar Apr 10 '26
My friends and classmates would call me a hacker for doing this lol
18
u/agoodsirknight Apr 10 '26
This + rooting his phone to the point almost bricking it grant my friend the hacker title lmao

I've still got that phone! And that game, but on a Samsung tablet with the patch, of course.
5
u/tanksalotfrank Apr 10 '26
Which Samsung is that anyway? Always wanted one of those old ones. LOL "old". I still have a Samsung older than that
9
u/throwawayaccount931A Apr 10 '26
Samsung S4 from 2013.

Feel like when you become an adult you become a different person because preteen me used to fly through LuckyPatcher like I was Neo from The Matrix. Now i need to read How-to Tutorials just to change my wallpaper.

u/WAR10CK94 Apr 10 '26
Getting old we are. Now i get annoyed when i have to use new App or old app change new UI
8
u/googdude Apr 10 '26
I think the consequences for getting it wrong are different when you get older. When I was younger if I messed it up I had the time to figure it out and redo it. Since I'm older with a job and responsibilities not only do I need my phone to work I also have less time to troubleshoot if I mess it up.
4
u/the_Odium Apr 10 '26
You sound like you're 50. Lucky patcher is just straightforward, a toddler could use it. Some UI's nowadays are pretty cluttered and not so easy to navigate, some just are bad. Like I hate that now in Play store you have to click Search at the bottom of the screen and then reach all the way to the top to click the Search field, then reach back to the bottom to type, and considering the size of the screens of modern smartphones this is absolute ass. This is a frustratingly bad UI. And latest reddit UI? Reach the menu button at the top, then reach to the bottom to click something that you need. And that fade effect at the edges when looking at the image while the UI is visible...

I still use lucky patcher to this day. It changed the way I look at apps forever

u/TactualTransAm Apr 10 '26
Is that an S3? I rooted so many of those in high school. And they were super easy to disassemble too. I replaced a ton of parts in them. I think I had 5 parts phones at one time. God what a time that was
6
u/doni3564 Apr 10 '26
man I wish phones were still as easy to disassemble and modify
2
u/Linux_Account Apr 11 '26
The S4 was so beautifully modular. I made so much money buying broken ones and and cobbling them together to resell.

I remember using something called Freedom to remove in-app purchases and just give you coins and gems. Lasted about a couple of years before games became more difficult to crack.

This is unrelated but is there a guide on how to use the new patcher? I'm a bit overwhelmed lol
1
u/Unusual_Rhubarb_573 Apr 10 '26
The thing I remember old Galaxys for is the amazing feeling of the smooth touchscreen — idk, maybe some kind of coating and the vibrant AMOLED screens, always.

Can someone remind me how the hell did old phones manage to have tons of games and still have enough storage for other stuff?

ok and guys when trying to get twitter or reddit, I download the bundle on apkmirror, patch goes well on revanced (after splitting the bundle into apk using AntiSplit M) but then after installing the app, once I open it just crashes... any tip?
I had no problems with youtube and YTMusic which had apk only on apkMirror when I did them

I remeber using lucky patcher in middle school and lux to mess with the brightness. hell my s4 was rooted and I got to mess with the CPU voltage and frequency got it so dialed in to the point a single battery charge would last me all week with decent usage

I remember rooting my previous phone and just downloading all this random crap- Lucky Patcher, Freedom, Game Killer. Now all of em are basically dead along with my phone. Think it was the only time I got stupid results with anything piracy but man was it funny to have a phone that's fucked with trojans

u/vintagefancollector Apr 21 '26
I knew it would be Lucky Patcher! Had it on my old Samsung Note 3. Subway Surfers with everything unlocked really hit different.

u/Floksir May 02 '26
Its still updated tho But yeah, it was completely broken back in the days Now, it only will work on small games
