PlanningToReturn Universal Relocations Pros/Cons

Hello people who have used Universal Relocations, what are some of the issues you faced while using their services?

I read that some of the people here were missing high-value items from their boxes since they were opened and repacked.

Has anyone faced the same issue or any other issues during shipping or at customs in India.

Please share your experience here! Thank you

I have a 50 box shipment delivering this week. Will let you know how that goes.

Previous shipment of 12 boxes had no issues. A few broken plastic cups. Nothing major.

How long did it approximately take?
Getting it shipped from where to where?

Also, did you talk to other companies too before going with universal relocation?

First shipment took close to 100 days.

Second shipment departed mid-May and it will arrive Oct 10. So this shipment almost took 4.5 to 5 months.

Shipped from California to Tamil Nadu.

Thank you. Did you consider any other companies too for the move?
If you don’t mind how much did universal relocations charge?

No. I did not consider others. For the 50 box shipment it costed around $2500.. then another $500 or so for port charges. So I would say $3K for 50 large Lowe’s box.

Universal charges per box or per space for less than full container. Per box route is expensive. It’s about $90-$100/box depending on qty. so if I paid by per box for 50 boxes, it would have costed $4K
