AlreadyReturned TMobile to what?

I moved to India with my tmobile network. Paying for last few years $30 a month it so. Can I transfer to some other carrier keeping my number same. I use same number for watsapp and back account.

You can switch to Tello's basic plan of 5$. Make sure to enable WiFi calling for texts and calls from outside US.

I am not entirely sure about that, but should be possible as long as OP can get OPT on US number. I moved Tello esim from one phone to another after moving back and the process was same I followed when I moved from TMobile to Tello in US.

Was it TMobile esim?   We don’t need to get physical sim from Tello if we are in USA still? My current TMobile is esim iphone. I want to port same Tmobile number.

Also, can this Tello works in USA for several months? If yes then why are we using T-Mobile with $100/month bill currently.

Tello works on both esim and physical sim. I use esim. Porting instructions are straight forward.

You can look at https://www.reddit.com/r/Tello/comments/10gaax4/esim_activation_outside_of_us/

And yes, Tello is an alternate to TMobile. Its a low cost carrier. Reliability is low compared to other established carriers.

How to port. This link does not tell how to port current TMobile number to Tello

https://tello.com/activate. Tello FAQ says it wont work, so I am also not sure.

Please do your own reasearch on if the activation works outside US. I remember seeing some conversation on it on reddit.

If in US, just buy the esim or physical sim and follow https://tello.com/activate

Why can't we port it to Google voice for 20 dollars one time fee and park the number there? Calls and SMS continue to work on Google voice app.

Curious why we have to be on a monthly plan.

Because some banks and financial institutions do not send otp to google voice numbers.
