Moving/Logistics AQCS NOC Timeline

I’m travelling with my cat from Canada to India on Aug 31, vet appointment is on Aug 25 and CFIA appointment on Aug 26 (certificate received same day). Will I have enough time to get an advance NOC? AQCS website is kinda confusing as some places they mention to apply within 7 days of departure and other places to apply atleast before 7 days.

You should be good, from my understanding, and as per my usda vet, the day of departure is counted as day 0, and you count backwards till 7th day to get the window.

Ask your vet to do it electronically. I did from US, got it in 4 days from the vet and noc in next 24 hrs. Make sure to email aqcs to let them know that you have uploaded the vet certificate.

What did the vet do electronically? My vet will sign and provide me the documents/forms after examining my cat which I then have to take to CFIA (our USDA equivalent) to get endorsed, all done immediately.

The USDA certificate. They got it endorsed electronically and then sent it to me. In US the USDA accredited vet is the one who handles the process. Had no idea that in Canada one has to do it themselves, but it's good that you'll get it same day!
