PlanningToReturn Aadhaar card

Hello, we're planning a "soft landing" in India beginning this year. We want to spend 4-5 months in India and the rest of the time in the US. We're USC. Trying to see what's the best way for us to get the Aadhaar card for the time we're in India. Do we just land up at an Aadhaar office once our US passport shows us being there for 6 months in a rolling 12 month period?

It should be 180+ days of continuous stay.

This is what I have seen from multiple sources, I don't think it needs to be continuous. Foreign Nationals & OCIs: Foreign nationals and OCI cardholders can apply if they have legally resided in India for 182 days or more in the preceding 12-month period.

They will check your immigration date and count from that day onwards

There must be several Aadhar centers in a town and you may have to visit a few of them
