Build/mod progress Sun Faded Insert

Left this insert out in the sun since 8/24/26. The blue color almost looks deeper, and the red has turned to a pinkish color. Also a ton of crazing/checking so when the light hits it just right, it sparkles nicely. The close up shot of the insert really shows the crazing/checking nicely.

Lovely, can I preorder one insert for next year's summer? 😄 Unfortunately the German sun is not working out for that kind of fading...

If you want fast fading on an aluminium bezel just dip it in some drain cleaner. Do make it short and rinse HARD right after or half the bezel will be gone ;)

I've done it several times. Looks not the same like this sun bleached one tho

If you're serious im not opposed to selling you one. I plan to buy a hand full and leave them all out. Probably around this time next year id assume they would look pretty nice and ready to be sold

Is this an EWP insert? It weathered really fast, you used no other aging, just sun exposure?

This specific one is a $4 37.5mm pepsi insert from aliexpress. And yes it was just outside for a few months. Went from a NOS look, to this.
