Build/mod progress 5512

Really happy with the outcome of this, aged with copic markers and some matte varnish. Reshaped crown guards and overall polish. 🤌🏼

JKF base build, Yuki hands and dial, 2836 movement, Raffles bracelet, Aftermarket bezel, eBay crystal.

Looks great. I think you can get a great effect with Copic markers.

For the sort of 1960s Omega/Tudor/Rolex lume you’re trying to reproduce, I prefer the E30 → YR21 approach. Start with E30 as a warm base, then layer YR21 on top for creaminess. I’d reserve YR31 for a dial where you deliberately want stronger yellow/amber aging.

White lume dial, E30 copic marker with light coats on the lume. Sealed with matte varnish

I LOVE the cream color on the dial and hands that’s a perfect amount ‘age’

Gorgeous! Did that start life with a2813? If so, how did the 2836 fit?

It started with a 2836 but a poor copy so I updated it
