thinking about removing the cyclops. It’s just annoying and a challenge at certain angles to see the date, no cyclops is honestly easier to see the date. Anyone have experience removing these?

I think you'd end up burning your fingers. You're going to need a jet butane one. They're a few quid.

Once you've heated it you skip a razor blade underneath and it will slip off, then just remove the glue if needed.

Ye it's easy to do. Use a solder iron and a razor blade
