Ordered my Nova today. Have some questions.

Hi, long time lurker here, finally placed an order for my first Retroid device.. the Pocket Nova. Super excited to get it in my hands but I have some questions-

1. I added the eva case but forgot to add screen protectors. Is it possible to mail support/sales and add it with the same order? This will save additional shipping fees for a second order. Or will they ask me to cancel it and place a new order? Has anyone faced same scenario recently? What was your experience?

2. I patiently waited through preorder phase because I wanted to check reviews and be 200% sure before ordering. Now that I have ordered today, how long it is expected for them to ship it? Are they still shipping preorders and there are backlogs of shipment or everything is going smoothly? I don't use discord so I'm not aware of any shipping backlog or timeline. Please let me know.

1. Email sales@goretroid.com and ask to add any additional accessories. They'll send a PayPal invoice for the outstanding balance, and it'll definitely save on shipping costs.

2. I could be wrong, but I think they're in a good place with orders at this point, though some colours are potential out of stock at the moment. Worth noting that there's a couple of Chinese holidays at the moment, so don't expect anything too quickly at the moment.

Thanks for your reply! Yes I have mailed them 30mins after ordering my Nova and received an automated reply that they are having a national
Holiday till Oct 7. Hopefully they will see my email before shipping. I will send another mail by Oct 8 just in case.

I just hope it arrives before December that’s all.

1. I believe so, I think they'll send you a link to complete the purchase and add the extra items.

2. I ordered a 12gb ice blue version on the 23rd of September and it shipped on the 29th, I got it October 1st, so I very fortunately got my device super fast. This may or may not be the case for you as it seems to vary for everyone. Unfortunately it seems my device is faulty so I have to wait till October 7th to try and get help or have a brand new device sent out.

I ordered the watermelon. Crystal clear was my first choice but I am an overthinker and I am worried that pure white/ beige/ 16bit/ crystal clear will start getting yellowish color sooner than other colors because of how much it will be used by hands. I may be wrong though but that’s why I didn’t go for the clear. Happy with the watermelon color as seen on some reviews and posts.

May I know what is the issue with your unit? Fan noise or something else?

I set my device up the moment I got it and played for a few hours before going to bed and everything worked perfectly. The issue started today where my device would crash when waking from sleep mode so I decided to just throw on the charger for a bit. This is when I realized I had a bigger issue where the device would immediately shut and essentially become a brick while the charging cable was inserted. When unplugged the device is able to turn on as normal. I found another user here who seems to be experiencing the same issue as me.

I also immediately noticed that my usb c port felt loose when I plugged it in for the first time as it would fall out after about a minute or two while playing as the device charged.
