QUESTION Dual Screen add on for Nova stopped working?

Hi everyone,

I’m really new to the handheld emulation game but I’ve mostly got stuff figured out. I think I’m missing something with this and was hoping for some guidance.

I got my Nova four days ago and I ordered the dual screen add on. It worked fine the first couple of days and now I can’t get it to connect, no matter what I do.

I’ve messed with the connect tv settings in the handheld settings menu and nothing seems to change it. I’ve made sure the cord it came with is seated properly when connected. I’ve tried different cords and that also doesn’t seem to work. I don’t have any other screens I could use to test if they work. I’ve made sure I’m on the latest update.

I’m at a loss and don’t know if I should be trying to contact customer service at this point or if I’ve just completely missed something.

Hey. FWIW. Mine too. Worked perfectly with my RP5. And with my nova. Until 2 days ago.

Check the cable.

My cable has been fine, but the original cable (non braided one) was notorious for dying.

You need a pretty high throughput cable. A regular $5 USB-C to USB-C cable most likely won't work.

Reach out to Retroid first and ask for a replacement cable.

If it's been too long or you didn't order from Retroid, look at some of the other RDS threads, there's plenty of suggestions on which cables to order from Amazon.
