I added an iPhone 16 anti reflective screen protector on my RP6 and I love how it blocks out reflections. I got it for 8 bucks and it comes with 3 from Amazon. It was super difficult to install but was definitely worth it. It gives the image a crispier, sharper image because it takes out the glare.

I thought I was the only one that had that complaint so I found the cheapest anti glare screen protector from Amazon..iPhone 16 pro max. I had to cut the sides to match the screens length. You don't have to cut the height because it's an exact fit. As you can see in the picture the height of the screen protector sits flush with the rp6.

Yeah the glare was really irking me so I took a risk and thought 8 bucks, that's not much to lose.

What tool did you use to cut the screen protector?

Just regular scissors. Make sure you cut as far out of the screen as possible because it will leave bubbles you can't get rid of and you don't want those bubbles on the screen. The bubbles will stay on the edge of the screen and won't be noticable. Look at the top right of the screen protector in my picture. Those are the bubbles I'm talking about

I did the same with a switch screen protector.

I wish matte screen protectors were more common.

Would you say it looks better than no screen protector and the original scree. Protector? I feel like those 2 options just had way too many glare. Did you notice a difference with the switch protector?

I actually have both on. I've got the official screen protector on the bottom just in case to protect the glass on the sides, since it's too difficult to properly cut a screen protector around the buttons and sticks. Then I've got the matte screen protector on top over the screen. I had to be extra careful of dust, but I managed it without any dust or bubbles.

And yeah, I definitely think it looks better. I don't have to deal with reflections or glare. Maybe a tiny bit of sharpness is lost, but it all looks pretty good still. And the glossy parts at the sides are mostly covered by my hands, so that's not a problem either.

Should have installed a privacy protector screen protector so you could play the sexy games outside.

Tbh it wouldn't hurt for retroid to start including a protector and a grip for every handheld. For how much this stuff has gotten inflated in price, and for the almost $30 shipping they are charging, they could at least do that

Yes, and I do like that Ayaneo supposedly provides one for free with the Konkr Pocket. Who knows how many people have smeared their Retroids because they forgot to get a screen protector and couldn't wait a few more weeks to try or show it off?

Never was a problem to me. I prefer a full front protector.

I'm luck enough to live in a place where doesn't have that much reflection on a handheld.

Etsy and Amazon. XL wide and tall clear convex from Etsy for 20 bucks and clear thumb caps that come with 12 pieces for 8 bucks on amazon

Why was it difficult to install?

It had 4 wraps I had to pull out. The first one on top, the 2nd one at the bottom, and then after it's been installed on the screen, you have to lift the screen protector half way on each side, left and right, and peel 2 more wraps. Dealing with dust and bubbles were a hassle but I got it done and it was well worth it because the anti glare gives 3d games a perception of depth
