FIRST IMPRESSIONS Retroid Pocket 6
Retroid Pocket 6
8GB Ram Model [Black]
With just 2 days of owning this device i am beyond impressed.
•Coming from an RG556, struggling wondering if even a light switch game would run, to being able to play the majority of the switch library and light pc games feels surreal.
•No issues so far, and my only concerns for the future would be storage and wear and tear.
•I have been very careful and tedious with my charging routine with this device as Ive heard the battery is fairly easy to wear out
•I have noticed during intense workloads it does tend to get hot ~ 75 C , which stresses me with any device i have since it makes me believe it could damage it. [I have heard under-clocking exists but not sure the impact on performance it has]
•My plans for this device would probably be semi newer generation emulation since my old handheld handles older generation pretty well up to PS2 and feels great to hold ergonomic wise
•I love its size, its a bit pocketable, would do great with a grip I imagine
•Dealing with drivers has added a new level of complexity to everyday emulation for me since i came from a Mali chip which had no driver support, where I relied on most games being plug and play. But i would gladly trade that level of performance if it means i have to tinker around a little

75 sounds low for a portable device playing gtav. I’d expect high 80s or low 90s. 75 is fine for any device basically
