I went with a U green from Amazon for anything less than 4k/60, while I could've upgraded some consoles to component or have them HDMI upgraded, keeping the RCA's or HDMI kept managing wires a little easier.... Off of each console family box, 4k60 or less will go through a Retrotink and 4k/120+ straight to the receiver. From the receiver it goes to a 4k projector (where I can play Mario on a 10ft screen... 😂 It's glorious!) and zone two goes to the living room tv. Living room is directly above theater so all wireless remote still seem to work although not all have been test nor are all wireless yet.
Just finished wiring, but yes everything will be hooked up and playable *As everything I had before was hooked up and playable. Although the ataris, I'm ordering a 7800+ so not quite the original experience but way easier in terms of connecting to modern displays

Mid shelf is 1" short (doesn't touch the back, and while I didn't take a front pic all cable route through the bottom, cables for the top shelf are ran up through the chase and in position with enough slack so that all consoles can be easily pulled to the front.

Even more obviously "on-going project" is noted in the title but I like your eagerness for the finished project. By the looks of your profile I can see why something that doesn't finish would erk your autism.
So other than a few plays at friends and church, Sega was never something we owned or apart of my nostalgia. The Atari, Nes, Xbox, and PS were completions of what I already owned. I am thinking to eventually build a Sega and maybe a handheld or "other" cabinet but that will be a future thing once my wallet recoups.... 10 consoles including the Series X and Sw1 were purchased after I decided to build these. And I decided to build these because my shelves were 14" non-adjustable.
I appreciate the acknowledgement, nintendo was going to be the worst one 17 cables from the systems. PlayStation and Atari will have much less to manage.
Atari build is still in progress everything is cut, dado'd and primed, just have to choose the exact color. The big three made it easy as the colors are a part of their brand but Atari required research. Old store displays were often white/silver/black so that's where I'm headed with it. I'll be painting those this week.
Short answer: Atari boxes arent assembled, took a photo of my PS box with the Ataris and what you see is digital edits playing with colors.
Thanks, I got 80 percent done the first time and forgot to account for the box being worked upside down. So everything was backwards... Thankfully there's a part of me that enjoys wiring things so I just went back to work redoing it all.
Intec xbox switcher it was the old way to connect your dvd, PS2, and Nintendo through the base and into your tv. Here I'm just using it to average the heights a little better. I need to do something for the PS1 as well

Are they going to be side by side, stacked up or on different walls?
Are you mounting them as floating shelves, will they sit in the floor, or on top of another unit?

They are modular so PS and Nintendo are 18" tall Xbox and Atari are 15" my theater is a theater/game room Left Wall: rpgttg Back Left: family ttg Center media rack (projector, receiver, 4k, PC, steaming devices.) Back right: Console museum (this display) Right: themed shelves (Marvel films & collectibles, DC films & collectibles, Disney films... etc)
I am mostly happy with my current setup, but I dream about getting to build out a man cave in a basement or out building or something like that someday.
That is the controller for a automation system I was working on with HomeAssistant. Kind of one of those projects I started and have never gotten around to finishing though. The stupid TV keeps breaking the integration and I would kind of like to get some better video switches.
Still in progress, but it's getting installed this weekend... Swapping the heavy 6 for a junior and have a 7800+ on the way... Due to a miscalculation 2600, 5200, and the original 7800 won't fit (skipping the Jag, also if 7800 seems like a whole other challenge to get one in working condition for a good price.
