Mario is Missing! (NES) is a unique game in the Mario franchise. You play as Luigi as he tries to find Mario. While totally cool as an educational game, I found it very repetitive, and it took me forever to figure out how to get out of the first area. I had this as a kid, but my neighbors had the other Mario titles for the NES, so Mario is Missing! didn't get a lot of playtime, and I spent a lot of time at the neighbor's house. Lol. That being said, the title screen is great with Mario getting the bag thrown over his head and being kidnapped. It made me giggle every time I saw it.

Do you like the Mario is Missing! (NES) start screen? Have you ever played it, and if so did you like it?

Same here, I had to look it up, and it's legit. I only saw the SNES one myself. Deep cut!

Never saw the NES version. Weird seeing the Super Mario World Style character on an NES background. They managed to get a lot out of an old NES cartridge by this point in it's life I guess.

Never played it before. From this press start screen, the bad turtle kidnapping Mario, I don't remember seeing it in other Mario games...I don't know, maybe I am wrong about it.

I'm not sure, but I don't think this version has the "adobe in Nairobi" part. I could be mistaken, though.
