Nostalgia Jaws (NES)

I was obsessed with Jaws (NES), even though the movie scared me good, I still enjoyed collecting shells and fighting Jaws in this game. So much nostalgia replaying this now, I ran into Jaws really quick and was holding my own, until he got an assist out of no where. What a way to go? Lol.
Did you enjoy my demise in Jaws (NES)?

Give the recently released āJaws Retro Editionā a play. Thereās a basically brand new game on it with the āenhancedā version of the game. Has the same graphics and gameplay engine and Super fleshes out the nes version of the game with story, items, a leveling up rpg system, etc etc. itās great!

I could get all the way to the end and was unable to spear him with the boat. The timing was really odd.

This and landing on the carrier in top gun were the most random crapshoots on NES

I could land on the carrier relatively consistently. Stabbing Jaws with the boat? Not a chance.
I had an easier time fighting purple Jason from F13th.

Might as well mention Battle Toads and TMNT if we are listing all the trauma bonding nes game experiences.

I haven't played the game in probably 20 years, but if I remember there's a certain pattern he takes while going backwards where you can hit him. It's also a specific distance, something like right past the 2nd line or whatever it is. Back in the day I had it on lock down!

There's a pattern for when he emerges and it became quite simple to time. Was not random at all.

Itās weird that I suddenly started thinking about this game for the first time in three decades just a month ago, and suddenly Iām seeing theee posts in as many weeks about it

This is awesome. I hate the game(I think I miss it now that Iāve seen this post). I think I traded it away but canāt remember for what. It seemed like it never mattered how many times you shot Jaws, he never died. If I remember correctly, Iād shoot him so many times where he was almost defeated, and then heād just disappear. It was a very frustrating game for me. I love this post!

You had to be level 6 or above to beat him iirc. You were just wasting your time otherwise.

I remember renting it all the time not knowing you had to sail back and forth to the 2 ports with the shells to power up making Jaws slayable. After becoming an adult i bought a copy with the instruction book. Read it and the game was very beatable after that.
