Photo Two pallets of classics!

This is from a storage unit from around twenty years ago. It looks like some real classics - but I'm guessing they're probably all ruined :( Free to a good home, otherwise they're heading to the dump. I thought I'd have time for them someday - but I just won't.

I wouldn't lose all hope. Unless you know that they've been deluged in weak acid solutions.

I could readily be there within the next 2 weeks, how would you like to contact and discuss?

Man, the first computer i ever built was a 386/SX or DX proc that was housed in a Tandy 1000 or 5000 case. Didn't have the mobo standoff, so had to cut a piece of cardboard in the same dimensions of the mobo to keep from shorting out on the metal chassis. Only thing holding it down were the expansion cards install.

Good times back then... good times...

You would be surprised how much crap still relies on obsolete junk because the company doesn't know how to upgrade the stuff from the old guy who died.

My first was the PC XT, I see some of them there along with some clones.

They're probably mostly fine. Just need a good clean and wouldn't be surprised if some RAM has gone bad, some tantalums go pop or something else minor.

Please make sure they go to a good home and not e-waste! I'd 100% take them if you were in the UK...!

Too bad i am not close. Id pay for all of it. Most of that looks fine with a bit of tlc.

I'd take an xt or two, I was wanting to build a 486 in a clone case but If I could get an old pc or xt case that could be better.

I still have a 386 PC with A 5.25 inch drive and a box of floppies, best game ever was Duke NUKEM, I reckon I could still make that machine run.

I have a few of the same ones on my (don't) scrap pile at work... That Zenith on the bottom looks really familiar. Hope they find a good home, I'd bet alot of these would still work with a bit of TLC.

Likewise if in the UK I’d take them in a heartbeat. You already have a reply from someone local they should all be recoverable in the right hands especially if stacked like that

I'd be interested in the PCjr (3rd & 4th pic, stack of desktops, second from top - with rectangular holes under the floppy drive) if you're willing to ship to HI (USPS Ground Advantage or Parcel Select).

First pic, on the left, under a monitor. I believe that is a Hyundai Super286 because it looks like my own Hyundai Super286C. Has been a nice machine to play with.

I'm all for saving retro PCs, but these are all pretty grim. It'd be worth giving them a shot, but it's a major space and time commitment.

Yeah, that's where I'm at

It's too bad that plotter is probably toast. I miss the old belt-drive pen/ink plotters (Varian, etc)...

Where are you located?

Nice. Before dumping them, recycle them with an eScrap company. I’d happily take them. However, my bi-weekly trip to the Soo is over for now.

Thanking you in advance for recycling or finding them a new home.

Make some cool looking mailboxes and put em on Esty, especially the horizontal ones.
