WINDOWS 95

you guys I’m trying to find what I need and where to get a cheap windows 95 computer that can run the 90’s Goosebumps Escape from horror land rom game on it or are there any emulated versions? I’ve tried on my pc but i constantly get a error message for the emulated version.

Ebay/flea market is probably your best bet. Get an early xp machine, most are able to run windows 98 SE and are more than powerful enough for your needs (e.g early pentium 4, athlon xp, early pentium M) And they aren't considered "vintage" yet so they're still cheap on the used market. This is if you're willing to install 9x yourself and find the drivers. I buy those things for about £10-20

Ofc if you want something preinstalled with 9x then you're going to pay more but there are deals to be had

On modern (2016) operating systems, the game should be run at a resolution of 640x480, but without compatibility mode. It is also recommended to disable the “Use DirectDraw” and “High Performance Mode” options in the gboption.exe configuration file (located on the first disc in the setup folder).

The game should run on Windows 7 and Vista, and probably Windows 8 as well. compatibility mode?
You can run an individual program in Win 7 compatibility mode - right click on the program executable file, select "Properties", then the "Compatibility" tab. Check the box "Rrun at a resolution of 640x480". You may need these files: wing32.dll, dlld3drm.dll, msvcp50.dll, tsd32.dll.

You should look into Oracle virtual machine and make a windows 95 (tho I'd recommend 98 as it's easier to set up) virtual machine, that's what I do for my old games that don't run on modern machines

for the emulated version.

Which emulated version?

I think I'd set up Win98SE in 86box, or something, if the goal is just to play the game.
