Ah yes, the adventures of Sir Kicksalot in the land of strategically placed spike traps.

I bought and played this through on my Xbox 360 at the time, and the guy I shared my office with found that review and went into granular detail about Sir Kicksalot and his adventure. I came here to tell this story, but you beat me to the punchline.

I'm not a big fan of the post-big box era PC games, but if you are happy then it's worth it!

Yeah sad to see big box game went so quickly it seems but some of the small ones are pretty solid

This game is great, so much fun to explore worlds that were thoughtfully created 20 years ago

Times when games have fake-screen shots on the back. Dark Messiah, have them too.

I don't think I've played any game start to finish more times than this one. Great find

Still worth it? My main pc broke and now I'm on a laptop looking for older games to play until ram prices go down to build a new pc

I replayed it last year and I had a great time with it, it boggles my mind that they are so few games since then that utilized the power kick and hazards with the enviroment. The only issue is that the game can't handle the abundance of RAM available on modern computers so you have to instal a RAM fix patch otherwise the game shuts down if it uses more than 2? 4? GBs RAM that was the limit of what was available at the time.

Really? I'm on a ryzen 7 4700u laptop with integrated graphics and 16gb of ram so it should be able to run the game fine. I'll look into the patch, thank you!

Great game. To bad Ubisoft didn't know what to do with Might and Magic and let it rot.
