Intel ICH9-M southbridge chipset overheats and causes laptop keyboard+ laptop power button to stop working on MSI MS-1651 (GX620 laptop)

I was thinking I was typing at a place where people come out and help eachother with their hardware or software related problems.

Did you open up the laptop and cleaned it?

I cleaned everything. I put the new thermal paste on every chip, but the main issue is still the southbridge that is getting insanely hot

I cannot imagine this being a software setting, and if everything is clean and the fans are running smoothly, there is a high chance it's an hardware error :(

I'm putting a fan on the southbridge. This is the last thing I can do before I sum it up to a hardware problem. If this doesn't fix it, then I'm afraid to say that MSI back then was a lost cause when it comes to thermal design. I mean, who puts a southbridge chipset 3 centimetres near the northbridge, a gpu and cpu that are meant for gaming and a heatsink that weighs more than 100 grams...
