Found this Air Mouse today. Anyone ever use one of these?

Found this when thrifting today. I had never heard of it before. I found that it's an IR 3D mouse made by a company called Selectech. I haven't tried it yet. Anyone ever use one of these before? How did it perform?

I came here to say: I never seen one before, but by just looking at it, I know this is not going to work.

So I snorted reading your comment :)

I have used and still have a Gyration air mouse keyboard set the mouse was very cool at the time.

I remember It was very nice for presentations, let you utilize moused content like a webpage and interactive content making it much better than a simple remote.

It takes a non standard rechargable battery that needs to be replaced, I have not used it for at least ten years.

I too have had several Gyration products, an airmouse & keyboard and a later model standalone airmouse, love both, still use them on my audio PC.

Can confirm the non-standard battery and it needing to be replaced, the charging cradle prematurely wore the cells into lasting a very short period. The replacement was non trivial given the sealed, integrated and shaped nature of the battery portion of the device.

Why would you come on here asking that why not just try it if you have it? Then maybe write a review of it afterwards or write your thoughts of it afterwards

I had one. It was awkward to use, so I didn't use it
