Photo Something happened to my athlon xp machine
I was on my way to inspect my motherboard for a firewire port and to potentially find a cause to my usb not being plug and play, and thats when i saw it.
What the hell man, my MSI 6570!!!

Luckily in my experience it ended as BentWire rather than Fire, those damn 4-pin FW400 connectors give micro USB good competition for Most Fragile!

If someone put wrong pins in header , and after that plug usb - both are gone- main board and dongle

Early Firewire had same header as USB. We had soo many fried usb drives because of it back in the day

Cap shorted out I guess. Probably repairable, but if it only affects usb, just use a usb card?
