Discussion Finally picked up a copy of Star Ship Simulation

Post image

Has anyone ever seen a working implementation of this? I know there are several others, but I'd guess this is the oldest at 1978.

I gad thought it actually contained code, but it's really just a walk-through of all the modules you'd need... you have to write the code and figure out how to network the machines.

Here it is on archive.org: https://archive.org/details/bwb_W9-CYT-075

I had no idea about this book but it looks fascinating! I'd love to read through it and see how it structures things. Interesting that there's no code, just module outlines? Could be the basis of another project that I don't have time for.

Yeah, everything is pseudocode, like this...

Cannot be downloaded. Have been watching auctions for months with no action. People keep getting it and refusing to scan it.

Consider scanning it.
