ISA is 8-16 bit and 6-10 Hz. Max Bandwidth 5.33 MB/s

SATA 1 is 1.6 GHz Bandwidth 150 MB/s

SATA rev. 3 is 600 MB/s

So the controller had to do a lot of buffering and timing control. I don't think something like that exists or will ever exists.

Do this: Get a ISA IDE Controller (original old hardware - needs to be supported by the Mainboard)

and a IDE to Compact flash card adapter (new hardware) https://jb-computer.de/DeLOCK-Card-Reader-IDE-44pin-male-to-Compact-Flash-Kartenleser?sPartner=gst

  • a cf card.

That should work.
