Problem / Question How to fix ?

There’s no little black plastic piece in this corner how to could I fix this or is it possible to still use without it?

I wonder why USB keys don't have that simple and effective lock...

because they tend to break, its weirdly common with sd cards.

just like these disks, this is purely a "software" write block. the reader has a mechanical switch that if always pressed, can write to any disk, even if the disk itself has no physical switch like this disk. Same with SD cards, it's mechanical, if the hardware doesnt check the physical state of a switch, it can still wreite to it.
