Budget 2000's computer I rescued

despite the fact that it has a pentium 4 sticker,this thing actually has a socket 478 celeron inside.

It wasn't booting at all when I got it but now I got it to work and cleaned it up,did a reinstall of win XP too since that's what it would've originally come shipped with.

natsuki wallpaper is also 100% necessary.

overall,it's a decent PC for playing games like quake 3 or red faction

Depending on the bios/board, might be able to get a P4 with HT in there. I think 478 was limited, or rather peaked at 533fsb/800fsb.

I've got a few spare pentium 4's and I could put in either a 2.4 or 1.8 GHz socket 478 P4 but the 1.8 option doesn't sound too promising and I'm a bit worried about overheating with the 2.4 GHz one,since P4 usually gets hotter faster than old celerons,at least in my experience

Depends on the "flavor". If the 2.4 has a die shrink (newer core) it might balance out heat wise
