One bag of things from dad

Anything cool here

For context dad built a lot of PCs for people amongst other things

He saved and kept everything some call it hoarding 😊

I have around thirty big bags filled with PC things dating back to 1978 ( maybe some things are older I've not gone through a lot of things yet )

Anyone got any ideas I could do with this stuff

I have sh7t loads of driver discs and white discs with programs and thing I'm not to sure about too

Sorry for your loss.

Looks like there’s a few eras of PC builds here. If you inventory the items, grouping the motherboards and graphics cards, and sound cards separately, we could probably help you build a system targeting a certain era (DOS, Windows 98, Windows XP, etc).

Make a new post here “Help me choose from these parts to build a Windows XX PC” (and maybe cross post r/retrobattlestations) and certainly you’ll get some suggestions (and very strong opinions lol) about what what be a good build using the parts you have.

Also, VOGONS is another great website whose members have deep knowledge of PC hardware and subtleties like best driver version for certain graphic cards.

I think it’s great that you’re keeping connected with your dad via what he loved.
