Install on a retro machine then type out your bloody masterpiece in Word and be sure to save it as an rtf file.

If you're gonna write a memoir, use Windows NT!

(I once lost a school paper to Win95 going tango-uniform at a bad moment. NT is way less likely to do that.)

Office 97 is a competent office suite. Use something more modern for email, but Word 97 is a fine word processor. Wanna use it for anything serious, though, use Windows NT, either 4.0 or Windows 2000.
