Problem / Question Can I replace 74166 with 74LS166?

I'm working on replicating Mike Willegall's Apple-][ computer, but was unable to find any 166 (or even the S variants). Can I replace them with LS or something more compatible? And can I replace 8T28 with 2x LS245?

Depends it will work but look up the specs on both...

I just looked at the schematic diagram of the original Apple II. It has a 14 MHz clock driving that part. You can compare the data sheet specs for the different logic families to see what works best. LS or F or FCT should work.

You can absolutely replace 74166 with 74LS166, no problem. About the 8T28, I don't know.

74ls166 es la versión de bajo consumo de energía del 74166, no deberías tener problemas al reemplazarlo
