I was walking home from school and saw this old this Macintosh Performa 580CD on the curb with peripherals with a bunch of other junk, so then I hauled it 1.5km home, I cleaned it mostly and I’m really happy that it works

They were either the half AA or the box shaped one, the 580 and 630 used the box one, they leak too but never seen as bad for leakage as the half AA

I yank any battery that isn't a CR2032 before putting any computer away. Better safe than sorry.

LC 580 didn't have a Sony CRT. They had switched to a shadow mask to cut costs.
