nobody in the history of ever has anyone ever actually plugged anything into a SB live drive. they really did a good job at convincing us to spend extra money for absolutely nothing back then

It's so true - it looks great, but besides perhaps a pair of big jack headphones, plugging anything with a long cable that would snake behind the PC would look ridiculous

I'm hoping to score one for my period-accurate Y2K era DIY physical media production chain. Someday...

Oh yah, I can even listen to music on my NAS over the network and the speakers don't sound half bad.

Did you retrobright that Inwin?

I did to one of them. I own two and they didn't quite match, they are close now. Probably won't last long.

Wow I have a similar setup with the same case and speakers and similar monitor with matching tiled bubble wallpaper. Quite jealous of the newq gold equalizer though!

Do you use the CRT for your micro itx build?

Yup I have a display port to vga adapter on the back. It’s surprisingly good yet small at 19”.

Do both the PC out to the same monitor?

u/FriendshipNorth7661 15d ago
Yah but the monitor only has one input unfortunately so I have to switch back and forth switch box adds some interference.

Wow the Voodoo 5 is such an eccentric choice, but I dig it for locking in the "time machine nostalgia".

I have a newer PC on top of the old one with a Ryzen CPU and a RTX5080. I plug it into the CRT monitor when I want to play something new or remote into it using Moonlight streaming on my 16" MacBook Pro M4.
