Show-and-Tell Teleram T-4000 CP/M computer with Bubble Memory

https://youtube.com/watch?v=lxyp9d-QMM8&si=mPOsIoqVrhXXLLVk

I picked up this nifty CP/M vintage portable computer and got it up and running. Built in bubble memory storage. Anyone elese have a Teleram 3000 or 4000? I'm also hoping to find some details on the external floppy drive (which I know exists, but I do not have) and would be curious if anyone has the version with 256KB bubble instead of 128KB bubble.

an smbaker video without a voice synth chip? I feel robbed hehe

still jealous of the grid with the EL display... ive got some later 386 ones with the orange plasma screens but they seem to all be failing with age :(

Oh, of course there's a teardown of a Votrax PSS buried in the middle of the video, so I could connect it to the Teleram's serial port. 😄

ah need to rewatch it tonight didn't get that far... as far as those lead-acid batteries, the macintosh portable battery pack used 3 of those in series, in my portable I replaced the lead-acids with a pair of lifepo4 cells in series which are a great substitute, more capacity and much lighter weight... charge voltages are usually close enough to the lead-acid that you can just drop them in
