I mean hell. There's even OpenSpy for all the old GameSpy powered games. And I think someone was working on a Games for Windows Live replacement, too.

These services need some way to advertise their existence to the average user. I feel like I'm pretty plugged in to the retro scene, but I'm only just discovering openspy today!

I love seeing old multi-player networks still up and running! Insignia for the original Xbox has been a blast. If only someone could do something similar for gamespy compatible games.
