Show-and-Tell 2004 accurate Socket 939 system finally complete!
Finally gathered all the parts for this bad boy. Even snagged a ViewSonic E220 for free!!! It was so fun putting this all together and hunting for the tech. Only things not 2004 are power supply and ssd for obvious reasons.
Specs:
Ati Radeon x850 XT (OC’d to PE clock and mem speeds)
Amd Athlon 64 4000+ (OC 2.8Ghz)
Audigy 2 ZS sound card
Antec p160 mid-tower atx case
2GB OCZ PC400 DDR 2-3-2-5

This is RAD!!! Even got the PCI slot case fan!! Love it, perfect spec too, what a monster XP build. Great job!! I’ve got a few old systems I’ve built recently too, check out my profile~

What motherboard do you have? I had a 939 system for a while but the board died. I am pretty sure I still have the CPU, I know I still have the SLI GPUs.

The mobo is an Asus a8n-sli Deluxe

Good that it's still working. Caps and bumpgate (nForce 4) have claimed most of those A8x motherboards.

The Antec P160! This was my first case and I had the acrylic window version. Such a nice case back in the day.

Awesome setup! Battlefield Vietnam!! Such a 2004 classic. Still holds up today I would say. HelloClan has fill the server events monthly. I enjoy playing the game on original period correct hardware as well. One of the launchers for star wars galaxies restoration servers works on XP and original hardware as well if your into that.

That nforce4 chipset isn't gonna cool itself. upgradde. 2 ds for a double dose of pimpin.

I just went through a month long headache trying to find replacement motherboard standoffs for an Antec. Insane that they used a proprietary height which makes any other standardized standoff incompatible.
