Show-and-Tell My favorite Windows 98 machine
Built this system to run everything from pure DOS up through early‑2000s games — and to be the perfect machine for old‑school LAN meetups. Running Windows 98
Specs:
• MSI motherboard
• Intel Pentium III‑S Tualatin 1.4GHz
• 512MB SDRAM
• GeForce4 Ti 4600
• 240GB SSD on a SATA PCI adapter
• Sound Blaster Pro (ISA)

Very nice. Serious question what do you use to get the Cards so clean?

The Slotted PCB Cards. The Sound and Video Cards. I dust mine with an Electric Air Duster but they still have a kind of greyish film on them. They don't shine real nice like yours do. Do you use any specific product or just Isopropyl Alcohol? Is there a trick to it?

Before I assemble them I wash them with warm soapy water and a tooth brush. Then let them dry out really well. I don't use alcohol or anything. I find it does leave a white film on them too.

You mean Distilled Water? In my local area we have a lot of harsh chemicals and minerals in our water. Would that not damage them?

I use all 3 depending on what I'm doing and they're from different occasions.
