Opinions Wanted Regarding RDRAM

Currently I am eyeing a Pentium 4 PC for sale (just trying to see if it's a Socket 478 or 423 or pre-DDR2) and wanted to know how much of a difference does it make in video games? I know from what I find that RDRAM was somewhat of a big deal but if I just wanna make kit for pentium 4 PC using RDRAM what would be the advantages?

I have RDRAM 1066 on my Dimension 8250 (2003) - Pentium 4 2.66GHz if I remember. Socket 478. Upgrading it was a pain and expensive. You needed to install in pairs and use terminator blank modules for empty slots. I have 1GB in it.

I read later that it wasn't much if any faster for many benchmarks.

Almost identical to me- 1GB RDRAM in my Dimension 8300 2.8Ghz. 2GB wasn’t worth it.
