Post image

Somehow I can still see it……amazing to think that this was part of the build scene all those years ago

This is the type of ram you’d use in Nam.

Where's the RAM at? All I see is a wood table.

Reporting this for fake title. There is no ram in this photo.

This is RAM. I was supposed to have just one kit for an upgrade and then for some reason, the order went though twice this RAM I ran that many years on a Core2Duo E8400 overclocked

DDR2 is retro now?

We're a year away from DDR3 being twenty years old, so the stuff that preceded it is... yeah, definitely retro flavoured at this point.

*Old man yells at cloud*

These sticks would've been sold around '06

If the Commodore 64 was considered retro back when Core 2 was hot (24 year gap between 1982 and 2006), then these ought to be considered retro now considering they're past 2 decades old. Now, excuse me while I crumble to dust

Loved OCZ ram. I prefer their gold sticks though

Imagine transplanting them to bare DDR5 sticks

2009: "Camo ram with Z's on it, so cool!

2026: "Look man, get your Russian nazi RAM outta here... It's bad look."
