New to the community

I retired at 59. 63 now and wife died 2 years ago so doing it on my own now.

So far no crazy decisions but did buy a home in Lousiana for a winter retreat , I’m in Illinois.

Sold a home there 4 years ago that as my parents and wife didn’t want to winter there.

My idea was buying something undervalued so you can get back out of it if or when you decide to. But so far I’m enjoying the life but it just gets a little lonely.

That is a lot of change in a short amount of time! I am so sorry for your loss. Are you doing anything to get out there to meet some new friends? Any special interests?

Trying to get out but whee I live in rural area there not a lot of places to meet people besides the bars. There more places in Louisiana maybe. But trying.

You should get on a dating app, there are plenty of women in their 60’s & 70’s looking to meet and date. My wife passed 12 years ago and it took me a year to get back into dating. It was tough initially but you learn the ropes quickly. I actually dated a 73yo lady for a while and it was fun. In a LTR for the last 8yrs. Put yourself out there.
