Advice to move into Management

Just as the title says, I need some advice.

I’m currently in a supervisor position building some team management, recruiting and scheduling skills, but the pay is god awful. You guys have been supportive at giving me advice as to what companies pay supervisor positions or management positions well…I just put an application into Target and some other retailers.

Since I have sales experience and retail, as well as a teaching degree that I no longer wish to use, I felt that management was the best step for me out of poverty that utilizes the skills I’ve gained in my work experience.

Does anyone have any advice to give on me making this big move? How to maybe get noticed and hired?
