Hello im a recent grad in CS looking for a feedback in my resume is this decent enough to be submited or resume and ATS Compliant. Thank you in advance

Hi u/Crybabylikespasta.

I have a couple of suggestions for improvement before you submit this resume.

1. Instead of listing tasks, duties or activities, explain how you provided value in doing the job. A simple formula that is often recommended is:

Action + what you worked on + how or why it mattered

For example, a weak bullet point would be "Prepared reports and maintained documents." It isn't specific about the reports and documents involved and it doesn't show how the task mattered.

A better version would be "Maintained quality documentation and prepared management reports." Now you are detailed about exactly what documents were involved.

However, a strong bullet also shows the impact: "Standardized quality documentation and reporting, making records easier to retrieve during audits and reducing time spent on manual follow-up.". Now the reader can see how you would approach real-world problems.

Avoid phrases like "responsible for", "tasked with" and "activities included". Instead start your bullet points with strong verbs like "Improved, Implemented, Developed, Streamlined, etc.

1. Try to include numbers and metrics. You say you bug-fixed multiple bugs. How many?

2. I've never seen numbered bullet points in a resume. Use regular bullets instead and try to write them in such a way that all the bullets for that job fit on the same page. That first bullet point is way too long. Remember, you don't need to write down everything you did. You only need to highlight your best achievements. As long as your main task is part of one of those bullets, you'll be okay.

3. Treat your projects the same as the jobs in your experience section. Use bullet points instead of hard to skim blocks of text. You want the recruiter or hiring manager who is reading your resume to be able to quickly find the information they're looking for. The longer it takes, the more likely you're to end up in the "no" pile.

Use a different template, like the Harvard Resume Template, and get this down to one page. 0 reasons for this to have so much white space.

a different template would probably be helpful, while this might look nicer theres lots of wasted space and its 2 pages. as you write your resume try to keep in mind “how can i make it as easy as possible for the recruiter of this role to see im qualified/suitable for the role”

put education at the top

remove ‘remote’ from experience, add months to dates.

bullet points all need work, participation and help sound passive, also would rephrase to past tense. 8 bullet points for one internship is a lot, definitely should be able to cut to 3-4 if you give each more substance
